Channel Normalization on Jl. Simponi Mas Kelapa Gading Completed

North Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-department has completed the channel normalization project on Jalan Simponi Mas, RW 08 Pegangsaan Dua Urban Village, Kelapa Gading.

This project started from early September and finished today

Kelapa Gading SDA Unit Head, Rukmana mentioned, channel's condition before normalization was severely damaged in some parts and made it not optimal in storing water during rainy season.

"Normalization is done to follow up resident's complaint. Some parts of its retaining wall collapsed and its material blocked the water flow," he explained, Thursday (10/3).

His side used river stone material with plaster and strengthen it with sloof on the both channel sides as long as 240 meters.

"This project started from early September and finished today. Hopefully this normalization can solve inundation problem at RW 08 Pegangsaan Dua," he asserted.
